Retreat Terms & Conditions
Last updated: April 26, 2026
In short: Submitting an application is the start of a conversation, not a guaranteed seat. We review every application carefully — including the health and safety responses — and respond within 10 business days. By applying, you’re telling us your information is accurate, you’ve read these terms, and you’re ready to participate respectfully if accepted.
Application Process
Every retreat is small and intentionally curated. Once you submit the application form, a member of our team reviews it and may contact you by email or phone to discuss whether the retreat is the right fit at this time in your life.
You should expect a response within 10 business days. If accepted, payment instructions and pre-retreat preparation materials will be sent to you. If we decide the retreat isn’t the right fit at this moment — or if you decide it isn’t — there is no obligation on either side, and any deposit you’ve placed will be returned in full.
If a retreat is cancelled or rescheduled because of insufficient enrollment, force majeure, or other circumstances on our side, deposits are refunded in full. Lineage of Light cannot, however, be responsible for refunding travel costs (flights, accommodation outside the retreat, etc.) — please book those refundably or insure them where possible.
Honest Disclosure on the Application
The application form asks several questions about your mental, emotional, and physical health. Some elements of our retreats — extended silence, prolonged slow movement, minimal external stimulation — can be genuinely destabilizing for people with certain histories. We ask these questions so we can support you well, not to disqualify you.
By submitting the application, you confirm that the information you have provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Withholding material health information that affects your safety on retreat may, in rare cases, lead to us asking you to leave the retreat for your own wellbeing and that of the group.
How we handle this information is described in our Privacy Policy.
During the Retreat
Once on retreat, participants are expected to engage with the practice in good faith and to treat staff, teachers, and fellow participants with care and respect. Disruptive or unsafe behavior — toward yourself, the practice, the land, or others — may result in being asked to leave the retreat, in which case no refund will be issued.
Please carry travel insurance that covers unforeseen circumstances (illness, family emergencies, travel disruption). It is one of the simplest forms of self-care for any international retreat, and we strongly recommend it.
Admission Discretion
Lineage of Light has final discretion regarding Workshop admissions. We reserve the right to decline any application at our own discretion, with or without stated reason, including in cases where we believe the retreat is not the right setting for someone at this time.
Changes to These Terms
If we materially update these terms, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active applicants by email.
